Why Grand County Customers Choose Rocky Mountain
Insurance agents, real estate agents, property managers, and first responders see a lot of restoration work in Grand County, and they keep sending people our way. We’ve built that trust across more than 6,500 restored properties. Every one of those customers worked with a crew that answers any hour of the day, knows mountain properties, works directly with their insurance company, rebuilds what it cleans up, and is fully certified and licensed.

01 Available 24/7 and trusted by first responders
Fire, police, and EMTs across the county call us to the scene, and the same crews answer your call day or night, so you get a team that’s used to stepping in right after an emergency.
02 Built for mountain properties
Ice dams, heavy snowpack, wildfire smoke, and dry, thin air all damage mountain homes differently than homes on the Front Range. Our crews work in these conditions every season and use moisture meters, thermal cameras, and heat-based drying systems that hold up at this elevation.
03 Certified, licensed, and accredited
Our technicians hold IICRC certifications in water restoration, structural drying, mold remediation, smoke and odor removal, and carpet cleaning. We’re also fully licensed and insured, with an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, so you can check our record before we start.
04 Insurance claims handled for you
We document the damage with photos and moisture readings and work directly with your adjuster, and after more than 15 years with local carriers, we know what they need to approve the work.
05 Restoration and construction under one roof
As licensed general contractors, we rebuild what was damaged once we’ve finished the cleanup, so you don’t have to hand your property to a new company halfway through the job.

The Same Crew Since 2008, With a New Mountain on the Jacket
You might know us as RMCAT, from the diamond logo on our beanies or the tie-dye we wear to every community event. Our logo has changed, but our people, our local roots, and our fast response haven’t.
We take our work seriously, even if we don’t always take ourselves that seriously.

Restoration Services From One Local Company
We clean up water, fire, smoke, mold, and storm damage, then manage the rebuild from start to finish.
-
Water Damage
After burst pipes, appliance failures, and flooding, we extract the water, dry what can be saved in place, and repair the rest, working quickly to keep the damage from spreading to other rooms.
Water damage restoration → -
Frozen & Burst Pipes
A split pipe in an outside wall or an empty house can run for days, so we shut off the water, open the section we need to reach the break, and dry and repair the wall, floor, and structure around it.
Frozen pipe cleanup → -
Fire & Smoke Damage
After a fire, our crews board up and secure the building, clean the soot and smoke from every surface, remove the odor, restore the belongings that can be saved, and rebuild the damaged rooms.
Fire damage restoration → -
Mold Remediation
We find mold where it hides in attics, crawl spaces, and the backs of walls, then contain it, remove it, and correct the leak or condensation that caused it, so the room can go back to everyday use.
Mold remediation → -
Storm & Ice Damming
Storm damage often goes beyond the roof. Heavy snow strains decks, hail breaks windows and siding, and wind strips shingles, so we close up every opening, dry what got wet inside, and repair it all.
Storm damage repair → -
Reconstruction
When the cleanup wraps up, our construction crew takes over the rebuild, and if you’ve wanted a different layout or new finishes, we can work those changes in while the walls are still open.
General contracting →
Our crews also take care of odor removal, asbestos removal, biohazard cleanup, and carpet cleaning, and we help you through the insurance claim. Not sure what you need? Call us.

Rocky Mountain Catastrophe & Restoration FAQs
Are you a local company?
Yes. Our office and crews are in Tabernash, between Fraser and Granby. When something goes wrong, a crew is a short drive from your property, and you’re working with people who live here too.
What kinds of properties do you work on?
All kinds. We restore single-family homes, second homes, condos, vacation rentals, and commercial buildings across Grand County, and we take on some of the largest jobs in the area. Property managers and HOAs call us for multi-unit buildings too.
Can you handle a job if I’m out of town?
Yes. Many of our customers live in Denver or farther away. We coordinate access with your property manager, HOA, or neighbor and send photo and video updates at every stage, so you can follow the work without making the drive.
Do you offer anything besides emergency restoration?
Yes. We also offer non-emergency property inspections, carpet and upholstery cleaning, odor removal, and asbestos testing, so you can call us about smaller problems before they turn into bigger ones.
Do you work with all insurance companies?
Yes. We have long-standing relationships with local agents, brokers, and adjusters. We handle the documentation, stay in touch with the adjuster, and keep you informed until your claim is settled.
Are you hiring?
Often, yes. We regularly hire restoration and mitigation technicians in Grand County. You can see current openings and apply through our careers page.
