What to Expect From Our Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning Services
Clean carpet changes how a whole room feels. Some stains lift completely and some only fade. We’ll tell you honestly which is which, along with what the cleaning will cost. If you live out of town, your property manager, your HOA, or a neighbor can let us in, so you don’t lose a day on the road.
When we pack up, traffic lanes are brighter and less matted, the rooms smell cleaner, and your furniture looks as good as the floors. You won’t be stepping around damp carpet for days, either, since our equipment pulls most of the water back out. Once it’s dry, the carpet feels soft and clean under your feet again, from the entry to the bedrooms. That’s the Rocky Mountain experience.

Our Carpet Cleaning Process
01 We schedule around you
Setting up a visit takes one call. We’ll work around your schedule or your rental bookings and ask about stains, pets, or problem areas, so we arrive prepared.
02 We inspect and pretreat
We look over the carpet and upholstery, identify the fiber type and any stains, and pretreat high-traffic areas and spots before the main cleaning, so the soil and staining come out more easily.
03 We clean the carpet and upholstery
We rinse out the dirt and cleaning solution with professional extraction equipment that leaves far less moisture than a do-it-yourself machine, so your carpet and furniture dry faster and you get the rooms back sooner.
04 We finish and check it with you
We groom the carpet, set furniture back on protective pads while the carpet is drying, and walk through the rooms with you or whoever let us in before we leave.

Carpet Looking Worn? Let’s Get It Clean Again
Whether it’s gray traffic lanes or pet spots that won’t lift, we’ll quote the cleaning during a free assessment.
Why Owners and Property Managers Book Us for Carpet Cleaning
A rental machine puts the work on you and leaves more water and soap in the carpet than professional extraction does, and a franchise crew may not know mountain properties or the managers who look after them. With us, IICRC-certified technicians do the cleaning, backed by restoration experience with stains and odors that reach the pad. HOAs and property managers around Grand County count on us, our office is close by in Tabernash, and a supervisor keeps an eye on every job.

01 IICRC-certified in carpet care
Our technicians hold IICRC certifications in carpet cleaning and carpet repair, so the cleaning method fits your carpet’s fiber and construction.
02 Restoration experience behind every job
We clean up after floods and fires too, so we know how to go after deep stains and odors in the carpet and the pad underneath, not just the surface.
03 Used by property managers and HOAs
Property management companies and HOA boards across the county already call us, so coordinating with owners, managers, and guests is routine for us.
04 Locally operated and fully insured
We’re locally operated out of Tabernash and fully insured, so the company in your home is close by and properly covered.
05 A second look before we pack up
A supervisor reviews every job at key stages, so spots and traffic areas get a second look.

The Same Crew Since 2008, With a New Mountain on the Jacket
You might know us as RMCAT, from the diamond logo on our beanies or the tie-dye we wear to every community event. Our logo has changed, but our people, our local roots, and our fast response haven’t.
We take our work seriously, even if we don’t always take ourselves that seriously.

When It’s More Than a Carpet Cleaning Job
Some carpet problems start with damage underneath or nearby, and we handle that too.
-
Water Damage
When a leak or overflow soaks the carpet, we pull out the water and dry the carpet, pad, and subfloor in place whenever we can, so you’re not paying to replace flooring that could be saved.
Water damage restoration → -
Frozen & Burst Pipes
When a pipe bursts in a cold house and soaks carpet across a whole floor, we shut the water off, dry the carpet and subfloor beneath it, and patch the wall at the break, so less of the carpet needs replacing.
Frozen pipe cleanup → -
Fire & Smoke Damage
Smoke and soot settle into carpet, upholstery, and drapes after a fire, so we clean what can be saved, replace carpet that can’t be, and clear out the smoke smell as part of the fire cleanup.
Fire damage restoration → -
Mold Remediation
When carpet pad stays damp until mold starts growing, we pull up the affected section, then dry and clean the subfloor before new pad goes down, so no moldy padding is left hiding under your carpet.
Mold remediation → -
Storm & Ice Damming
When snowmelt or rain comes through the roof into carpeted rooms, we tarp the damage and get the carpet and pad dried out fast, so more of both can be cleaned and kept instead of replaced.
Storm damage repair → -
Reconstruction
When carpet, pad, or the subfloor beneath them can’t be saved, we replace what’s damaged and put in new flooring during the same repair, so you don’t need a separate contractor to finish the room.
General contracting →
When pet urine has soaked past the carpet into the pad or subfloor, our odor removal service treats what’s underneath. Not sure what you need? Call us.

Grand County Carpet Cleaning FAQs
Is steam cleaning the right way to clean carpet?
For most carpet, yes. Steam cleaning is the everyday name for hot water extraction, the method most professional cleaners use. We spray hot water and cleaning solution into the pile and pull it straight back out with the loosened dirt, so the carpet is clean down to the base of the fibers.
Why do spots come back after carpet is cleaned?
Usually, the spill went deeper than the surface, or soap was left in the fibers. A spill that soaks into the backing or pad wicks back up as the carpet dries, and leftover cleaning soap attracts new dirt. We treat deep spills at the source and rinse thoroughly to flush out the soap, which makes a returning spot much less likely.
Can ground-in mud come out of light-colored carpet?
In most cases, yes. Dried mud is mostly soil, so the biggest step is a thorough vacuuming before any water touches the carpet. Then we pretreat and agitate what’s left before extraction, so the mud comes out instead of turning into a stain.
Can you get road salt and de-icer out of our entry carpet?
Almost always. De-icer salts dissolve in hot water and rinse out during extraction. We pretreat salty entry carpet first, so more of the salt lifts out with the dirt.
How often should carpet be professionally cleaned?
For most properties, every 12 to 18 months, and more often in busy households, homes with pets, and vacation rentals. We can set up a regular schedule around your busy seasons, so the carpet stays clean and lasts longer.
Can my rental’s carpet be cleaned and dry before the next guests arrive?
Usually, yes. Carpet needs several hours to dry after professional cleaning, so we suggest booking the visit at the start of a gap between stays rather than the morning of check-in.
